How To Bring Back ‘Open With’ Option In Windows 10

[Easy Way Of Bringing Back Right-Click Context Menu Option]

Windows is a great software thanks to all the customization options it gives to it’s users. One of the most common and most used options is the “Open With” option that lets you open and run any file using different softwares.

It is great, because even if you aren’t familiar with the file format, you can still find programs that might be compatible with it. However, due to some bugs in the software, this feature is often missing from Windows 10.

To bring this feature back, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the “Run Command”.
  2. Type “regedit” and press enter to open Windows Registry.
  3. In the Windows Registry window, navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
  4. In the folder, create a new key (File>New>Key) and name it “Open With”.
  5. Inside the new key, edit the string value and replace it with {09799AFB-AD67-11d1-ABCD-00C04FC30936}
  6. Click “Ok” and close the windows.

With these easy steps, you will be able to easily bring back the “Open With” option in Windows 10. If it doesn’t work, then the problem goes beyond the registry. You’ll just have to wait for further updates from Windows.
