How To Combine RSS Feeds And Social Media Streams In Safari

[Create Custom Feeds For Safari Sidebar]

Services like Facebook and Flipboard give you the option to combine feed for all your favorite sites in one place. This not only gives you ease of access, but also lets you interact with multiple accounts in one place.

This feature is also available in Safari. To use it, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the websites you want to subscribe to and navigate to their RSS Feeds page in different tabs.
  2. Open the “View” menu and click on “Show Sidebar” to open the sidebar.
  3. In the Sidebar, click on the “Subscriptions” button in the bottom.
  4. The feeds for the website on the active tab will automatically be shown here.
  5. Click on the feed and press “Add” to add the feed to your “Shared Links” sidebar.
  6. To add social media accounts, click on “Add Account”.
  7. Select the account you want to add from the preset list.
  8. Enter your Account Information to add it to the feed.
  9. Click “Done” on the bottom to complete the process.
  10. The sidebar will autofetch all the information from all these sites and present it in one place.
  11. You can browse and open whatever links you feel interested in.
