How to Fix 100% Disk Usage Issue on Windows 10

[Simple Tips To Free Up Disk Usage]

Windows is a great operating system to run on your system. However, there are some bugs in the latest version that cause certain persistent problems for some users.

One of these problems is the 100% Disk Usage issue. It can be observed by going to the Task Manager and checking the disk tab under Processes.

While the actual reason for this occurrence is not widely known, there are still some things that you can do to possibly correct it. All you need to do is follow these steps:

Disable Windows Search

  1. Open “Run Command” and enter services.msc
  2. In the “Services” windows, scroll down to “Windows Search”.
  3. Double Click on it to open the “Properties”.
  4. In the “Startup Type” drop down menu, select “Disabled”.
  5. Click on “Apply” and then “Ok”.

Disable SuperFetch Services

  1. In the same “Services” windows, scroll up to “SuperFetch”.
  2. Double Click on it to open the “Properties”.
  3. In the “Startup Type” drop down menu, select “Disabled”.
  4. Click on “Apply” and then “Ok”.

Disable Windows Tips

  1. Open the “Settings” app and navigate to “Notifications And Actions”.
  2. In the “Notifications” menu, toggle to disable “Show Me Tips About Windows”.

With these easy steps, you should be able to bring down the Disk Usage down from 100%. If this doesn’t work for you, it’s probably time to get your system checked for malware. Good Luck.
