How To Shutdown A Windows PC Without Installing Updates

[Simple Tips For Manual Shutdown]

Windows is a great operating system to own and use. However, the constant string of updates can become very frustrating after some time.

A big reason for this is that not only do they take up a large part of your bandwidth, but they also force you to waste a lot of time waiting for the updates to install.

While there are ways to Control Update Installations in a way that they won’t disturb you while working, the problem unfortunately will still surface again as you try to shutdown your computer for the day.

Thankfully, Windows gives you multiple options to shutdown your computer, without actually installing any pending updates. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Close all the applications.
  2. Go to the desktop.
  3. Press ALT+F4.
  4. You will now see the “Shutdown Windows Dialog Box”.
  5. Select “Shutdown” from the drop down menu.
  6. Click “OK” to shutdown without installing updates.
  7. An alternate method would be, press “Windows+L” to lock the computer.
  8. Click the “Power Button” in the bottom right corner.
  9. Select “Shutdown”.

With these simple steps, you will be able to easily shutdown you computer without actually installing any pending updates. Have fun.
