How to Take Screenshots on a Mac

[Use Keyboard Shortcuts To Easily Save Screenshots]

Taking screenshots can be a hassle, but Mac OSx makes it easy by giving you the option of capturing them with just a few keyboard shortcuts. To take screenshots on Mac, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. To take a screenshot of your entire screen, press “Command+Shift+3”.
  2. To take a screenshot of part of your screen, press “Command+Shift+4”. You can then click and drag to select the part of the screen you want captured.
  3. To take a screenshot of a specific window, press “Command+Shift+4”, then press the “Spacebar”. Move the camera icon over the window you want to capture and click on it.
  4. The screenshots saved will appear on your desktop as .png files.
  5. If you want to take a screenshot using a timer, use the Grab app located in “Applications>Utilities” on your Mac.
  6. When launched, a Grab menu will appear at the top of your screen. Click “Capture>Timed Screen” to start a timed screenshot.
  7. Click “Start Timer” on the popup screen to start the timer count down.
  8. The app will take a screenshot after 10 seconds. Click “File>Save” to save the screenshot.

With these easy steps, you can easily save all types of screenshots on Mac, without the use of third party applications.
