How To Use Facial Recognition Unlocking In Windows 10

[Use Intel's Real Sense 3D Camera For Enhanced Security]

Keeping you data secure is a very big worry for almost anyone who owns and operates a laptop. There are many security measures that help with this worry. However, most of them can be hacked with varying levels of difficulty.

There is however one security measure that isn’t easily hackable; Facial Recognition. Facial Recognition is a method which employs the use of your face to unlock your device. Since the features of your face are unique to yourself, they can’t be hacked. Neither can they be duplicated like fingerprints.

To make this feature truly foolproof, you first need an equally competent camera for the system. We recommend the use of Intel’s Real Sense 3D Camera which uses a combination of a 1080p HD camera, an infrared camera and an infrared camera laser projector to properly measure your face for enhanced security.

This camera works well with the “Windows Hello” feature already bundled with Windows 10. If you want to use it, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Open your Computer and connect the Real Sense 3D Camera (If your laptop comes integrated with the camera, skip this step).
  2. Go to “Settings>Accounts>Sign In Options”.
  3. Setup an Account Password and PIN.
  4. Select the option to setup for face under “Windows Hello”.
  5. Click the “Start” button on the setup and enter the PIN you just created.
  6. Make sure your face is in front of the camera.
  7. Wait for the camera to scan your face properly.
  8. Once done, click on the “Close” button.
  9. Restart your Computer to check if it works.

With these steps, you will be able to secure your computer through Facial Recognition. This is a great way of keeping your information safe from potential attempts of breaking into your system. Stay Safe.
