Consoles are great gadgets to have for someone who wants to enjoy games but doesn’t have the budget for a PC. However, owing to their limited storage and lack of upgradability, they can become a headache to manage.
This becomes even more of a problem when you consider the fact that most games launching this year will be almost twice the size of the games we used to play in older generation consoles.
This leaves us with only one option; clearing up existing space to make way for new games. You can do this by following these simple steps:
Start your Xbox One and go to “My Games & Apps”.
Select the menu on top of the listed games to access the drop down menu.
Select “Sort By Size” to reorder the games based on how much space they take.
Pick the game that takes the most space, or one which you don’t want to keep.
Press the “Menu” button on your controller to open the game menu and select “Manage Game”.
This will show you exactly how much data the game covers.
Press the “Manage All” button to access the drop down menu and select “Uninstall All”.
This will remove all files for the game from your Xbox.
Repeat the process for the games you want removed.
Go back to “My Games & Apps” and select “Apps”.
Enter “Game DVR” to locate all miscellaneous data stored on your console (Screenshots, videos).
Delete whatever data you don’t want to keep.
With these easy steps, you will be able to remove any unwanted games and data from your Xbox One, in order to free up precious space.
