How To Dial Phone Extensions Automatically On iPhone

[Use Inbuilt Wait Feature For Automatic Dialing]

There are often certain numbers in your contacts list that require you to dial an additional extension before you can actually talk to the person on the other end.

Remembering that code can be a hassle for most people. Thankfully for Apple users, there is a feature in the iPhone that lets you save these extensions along with other contact information.

When you dial that number, this feature automatically dials the extension along with it, so that you don’t need to manually input it every time.

To use this feature, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open “Contacts” on your iPhone.
  2. Add a “New Contact”.
  3. Enter the name, email and other relevant information for your contact.
  4. Select the “Add Phone” option.
  5. Enter the complete phone number.
  6. Click the “+*#” button on the bottom left corner of the keypad.
  7. Select the “Pause” button.
  8. This adds a comma next to the phone number.
  9. Enter the extension code associated with the phone number.
  10. Click “Done” on the top right corner to save the number.
  11. Whenever you dial this new number, the phone will automatically dial the extension after a 3 second pause.

With these easy steps, you can program your iPhone to automatically dial the extension along with the phone number.
