How To Enable Night Mode In Android Nougat

[Use Night Mode Enabler App For Easy Activation]

Considering how much time we spend staring at the screens of our mobile devices, it’s no surprise that eye strain and headaches have become such a common occurrence in the smartphone using population.

To help reduce the impact of this issue on the long term heath of our eyes, many smartphone manufacturers have started introducing alternate settings into their devices that help reduce the strain by altering the look of the screen.

This works especially well during night time, and for that reason most of these features are named after it, for example Night Shift in iOS.

Now, with Android Nougat, even android smartphone users can get this feature, which has been aptly named Night Mode. To activate this feature, follow theses simple steps:

  1. Make sure your smartphone runs Android Nougat.
  2. Slide down the “Notification Bar” completely.
  3. Press and hold the “Gear” icon on the top right corner for 10 seconds.
  4. You will be taken to the Settings Menu, where you will receive a confirmation notification, telling you that “System UI Tuner Has Been Added To Settings”.
  5. Download, install and run Night Mode Enabler.
  6. Tap the button in the center to “Enable Night Mode”.
  7. You will be taken to the “Night Mode Settings” in the “System UI Tuner Settings”.
  8. Enable and adjust the Night Mode Settings according to your preference.
