This new initiative comes in the form of a new beta version of the app, which now supports SMS and MMS texting. With this enhanced usability, this app can finally become your go to platform for online and offline texting.

To make use of this beta version, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  3. Download and install the Beta version of Facebook Messenger.
  4. Go to the “Settings” menu in your phone and search for “Default SMS App”.
  5. Choose “Facebook Messenger” as your “Default SMS App”.
  6. Close the “Settings” menu and go back to the messenger app.
  7. You will find all your SMS’s there market with purple icons.
  8. You can now customize your regular texts with stickers, voice memos, thumbs up and even your location.

With these easy steps, you will be able to integrate your regular texts with your Facebook chats in one app.

While this app still isn’t as fast and simple as Whatsapp or other texting apps in the market, it still gives you a lot of functionality, minus the hassle of constantly syncing between your Facebook and Phone contacts.
