Just like all the great services available to the masses on the world wide web, YouTube too is a content rich service that is available to free to all users.

This free to use model is supported with the help of advertisements that you see on different YouTube pages, and even within the video that you’re trying to watch.

While initially, these ads were a simple nuisance that could be easily skipped, now they seem to have evolved into an extremely distracting forced feature.

To take care of this issue, a lot of people use all sorts of tools to Skip YouTube Ads, but most of them still require the installation of a specific type of module or framework beforehand.

Thankfully, there are other simpler ways of taking care of this problem. All you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure your smartphone is Rooted.
  2. Make sure your File Browser is Root Enabled.
  3. Use DPI CheckerDroid Hardware Info apps to check your processor type & DPI Value.
  4. Download the Custom YouTube app that’s compatible with your device based on the information gathered in step 3.
  5. Save the custom app on your device.
  6. Delete the original YouTube app from your smartphone.
  7. Open the File Browser.
  8. Navigate to the /system/app folder on the root partition.
  9. Create a “New folder” here, called YouTube.
  10. Long Press on the folder.
  11. Select “Permissions” from the menu that appears.
  12. Set the “Owner” category to Read, Write, and Execute.
  13. All other categories only get Read and Execute permissions.
  14. Move the Custom YouTube app to this folder.
  15. Reboot the smartphone.
  16. YouTube will now run without ads.
