How To Choose Which Pages Open When You Start A Browser

Opening a browser after starting your computer is a ritual that almost everyone in the world performs multiple times on a daily basis.

This is followed by the boring task of opening all the websites that you frequent on a daily basis. Whether you do it manually or by click on bookmarks, it still takes a lot of valuable time.

Thankfully, every browser has a section which lets you choose your favorite web pages, and then opens them for your automatically whenever you open your browser.

To set these pages, follow these steps:

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and then open all the pages you want to set in different tabs.
  2. Click on the Three Bar icon on the top right corner.
  3. Open Settings from the menu.
  4. Go to the “On Startup” section.
  5. Select the “Open a specific page or set of pages” option under it.
  6. Click on the “Set Pages” button next to it.
  7. In the popup that opens, click on “Use Current Pages”.
  8. The browser will auto fetch the URL’s from all open tabs.
  9. If you want to add more pages, paste the URL’s for the pages in the “Add A New Page” box and press Enter.
  10. Click on Ok to save the pages.
  11. Close the Settings tab.

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and then open all the pages you want to set in different tabs.
  2. Click on the Three Bar icon on the top right corner.
  3. Open Options from the menu.
  4. Go to the “Startup” section.
  5. In the “When Firefox Starts” option, click on the drop down menu.
  6. Select “Show My Home Page”.
  7. Under the “Home Page” link, click on “Use Current Pages”.
  8. The browser will auto fetch the URL’s from all open tabs.
  9. Close the Options tab.

With these simple steps, you will be able to select which web pages your browser automatically opens when you first start it. Have fun.
