How to Permanently Disable Browser Extensions

Browser Extensions are useful tools in improving the browsing experience for most people. But for every good extension there are multiple malicious extensions that can slow down your browser, steal your data and even crash your PC.

To disable these unwanted, malicious browsers, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Right click on the browser shortcut.
  2. Slect “Properties” and move to the “Target” text box.
  3. Add the following flag to the existing shortcut; –disable-extensions (For Chrome); -extoff (For Internet Explorer); -safe-mode (For Firefox).
  4. Save the changes and restart the browser.
  5. In Chrome, all extensions will be turned off. In Firefox and Internet Explorer, all extensions, plugins and add-ons will be disabled.
